Scratching the Surface Project — Hong Kong (2013)

Panoramic wall carved in Hong Kong in 2013 for the Scratching the Surface project. Two portraits — a younger face on the left, an older man in a flat cap on the right — flank a dense cityscape of towers, rooflines and lattice motifs excavated through the white plaster into the red brick beneath, with the debris of the carving left along the base of the wall.
