Prisma. Solo exhibition at MAAT — Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, Lisbon (30 March – 5 September 2022). Monumental immersive labyrinth-like installation of slow-motion video footage recorded in nine cities — Beijing, Cincinnati, Hong Kong, Lisbon, Los Angeles, Macau, Mexico City, Paris and Shanghai. Operating as an optical prism, it manipulates space, scale and light to refract shared experiences into different wavelengths, evoking the paradoxical tension between isolation and globalisation revealed by the pandemic. The work extends to MAAT's outdoor screen on the museum's sculpted rooftop, projecting the same imagery to the Tagus riverfront. Photos: José Pando Lucas (exterior / outdoor screen), Alexander Silva (interior install).
