Parallel Terrains: Vhils and Boldtron

Parallel Terrains is a two-artist exhibition presented by ETERNO Gallery during NFC Summit 2026 at the Unicorn Factory Lisboa in Beato, pairing the Portuguese artist Vhils (Alexandre Farto) with the Barcelona-based duo Boldtron. The show juxtaposes Vhils's practice of revealing images through excavation - faces and fragments of human presence emerging from eroded, fractured material - with Boldtron's retro-futuristic CGI and AI-generated dioramas staged within the former flour mill's original machinery. For this presentation Vhils shows a new digital format of his "explosion" works, including the video piece IGNITION #1, alongside torn-poster and carved-portrait works that compress layers of history, destruction and parallel realities into a single territory. The exhibition runs 4-6 June 2026.
