For U2's Films of Innocence, responding to the track Raised by Wolves, Vhils' film follows Czechoslovakian wolfdogs through abandoned industrial sites in Lisbon, shot at the former Lisnave shipyards in Almada/Seixal. The film explores the tension between instinct and environment, part of a collection that invited eleven artists to respond freely to Songs of Innocence and drawing on the political mural tradition of Northern Ireland. It premiered as a 24-hour Nowness exclusive, with the full eleven-film collection released the next day, 9 December 2014. In a companion piece, Vhils described the locations as fitting 'my work that utilizes drilling and explosions as technique.' Architecture appears as a silent witness to history, while the wolfdogs evoke resilience, displacement and survival.
