Debris, an exhibition presented by the HOCA Foundation at Pier 4, Hong Kong, included an untitled carving Vhils cut in March 2016 into a commercial hoarding at No. 120 Connaught Road West, Sai Wan — one of the city's busiest urban corridors, where buildings, messages and identities are under continual transformation. Installed on a support built for constant replacement, the piece briefly turned an advertising space toward public and artistic attention.
