Planck took the form of a choreographed explosion, produced with creative agency Justkids, that struck the west façade of the Momentary — a satellite venue of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Northwest Arkansas — before revealing an incision of the institution's logo cut into the surface. The piece extends Vhils' interest in destruction as a constructive act, using controlled force to expose an image rather than erase one. Its title refers to Planck time, the smallest physical unit of time, paralleling the blast's instantaneousness with the venue's own 'momentary' concept. Staged ahead of the Momentary's public opening on 22 February 2020, with the exhibition State of the Art 2020, it turned the building into both stage and material.
