Vhils carved this concrete relief directly into the atrium wall of Le Freeport Luxembourg in 2014, integrated into the building from the earliest stages of its design rather than added afterward. Le Freeport is a high-security facility built to store and preserve art and cultural assets, and the carving forms part of its own structure. Working inside an institution devoted to conservation, Vhils brought a technique developed on the street — carving directly into the wall, leaving tool marks and traces of the gesture visible in the concrete.
