For Le monde selon Vhils, a special collector double issue published 7 May 2026, the French weekly Courrier International (Le Monde Group) gave Alexandre Farto — Vhils — control of its visual identity, the first time the magazine has entrusted that role to a single artist. Vhils treated the printed page as he treats a wall, carving into layered Courrier International posters to produce four covers where portraits emerge through subtraction. Developed over several months between Paris and Lisbon, the project shaped the editorial content too: the issue pairs international reporting on art's role in transforming cities with a long-form conversation with Vhils and selections from City Slow Motion, his digital series filmed in globalized metropolises between 2016 and 2021.
