Biblioteca Lídia Jorge

The intervention on the façade of the Biblioteca Municipal Lídia Jorge was created to mark the library’s twentieth anniversary and pay tribute to the writer whose name it carries. Drawing on Lídia Jorge’s literary universe alongside references to Portuguese writing more broadly, the work turns the building’s exterior into an extension of what is held within it. The portrait becomes a public point of entry into literature, connecting the author, the institution and the community it serves.
