Extending across approximately 150 feet inside 201 Brookline in Boston’s Fenway district, this 2022 mural is dedicated to women whose work transformed science and medicine. Carved into plaster layered over the original brick walls of the 1928 building, it includes figures such as Rosalind Franklin, Clara Barton and Mary Eliza Mahoney, the first African-American licensed nurse in the United States. The project connects the building’s new role within Boston’s life-sciences district with the histories of women whose contributions were often overlooked or insufficiently recognised.
